In partnership with Margate Lawn Tennis Club and Kent Tennis, we have created an LGBTQ+ safe space to encourage and get people in our community involved in Tennis!
This consisted of a fantastic open evening on Friday 22nd May with special drag performances from Betty Late than Never and Dee Star, and joined by the Mayor of Margate!
With funding support from Kent Active and Kent Tennis we offered taster and coaching sessions to the LGBTQ+ community every Tuesday at the Club for 8 weeks which also included free rackets!
This was a huge success with members of the community now signing up for full time memberships at Margate Lawn Tennis Club and those who took part creating new friendships and continue to practice and play together!
